Catch Basin Repair
Project Overview
In Abbotsford, BC, we were called to address a failing catch basin that posed a risk to the surrounding pavement and drainage efficiency. Catch basins often suffer from mechanical wear and freeze-thaw cycles that damage the internal structure.
The project involved the excavation and replacement of damaged drainage pipes that had become disconnected or crushed over time. We also replaced deteriorated concrete riser rings, which are essential for maintaining the height and structural integrity of the basin.
By restoring the proper seating of the grates and ensuring the pipes were securely sealed, we eliminated the risk of soil erosion and subsurface voids. This repair extends the life of the municipal infrastructure and ensures reliable storm water management.
